Review - Service : Colour Culture

A week after Valentine's, me n Eve went for a pampering session. A manicure + pedicure. Woo hoo!! We were actually planning to do it on Valentine's day, but after some "accidents" with me risking my neck being broken by Eve, we have to cancel it.

So, appointment is done this time, at the new Colour Culture outlet (by OPI) at Tropicana City Mall. I decided to try this since it is OPI's pilot store, meaning they use all OPI products, and they are having a promotion.

We arrived at the brightly coloured store to be greeted by 2 nails specialists. We were ushered to the long table where we start off with the manicure first. We were given some sort of sanitizer gel to clean our hands. Then, Vicky (my nail specialist) starts by looking at my nail after removing the old stale color. She gave some advise on how I should take care of my nails.

She starts by applying some softener on the cuticle area, and then gently push in the cuticle. After trimming off the cuticle, she applied some cuticle oil and massaged them in. While she is doing that, me n Eve almost went crazy chosing 2 colors (each for fingers and toes). There are over 200 colors!! Check that out. So, with that, I cant really remember what was being done on my nails :p.

I finally decided on a loud striking red that has just arrived. I think is called " Girls Just Wanna have fun" And "Pompeii Purple" for my toes. Nice hoh?? Say nice la ...

After the massaging and applications of the base, colors and top coat, we proceed to the pedicure. We were taken to the inside, with our back facing the entrance. There, we dip our feet into a sink filled with bubbly warm water that feels so so nice and relaxing...I almost fall asleep. The similar procedure with the hands repeated. There is an additional step, buffing the dead skin off our feet. I am so embarrassed to see all the dead skin flakes flying around. But after 3 weeks, it still feels ok. And I did not apply any lotion. Am so lazy can die..

After about 2 hours and RM65, I am so happy with my red hot talons...haha...

This basic mani + pedi is worth trying. I think all girls need a bit of TLC every now and then. Well, girls' maintenance fee is high, ok??

Interesting content.

Just wanted to share some information that may help busy professionals caught up with work and who have less time to maintain their nails. You can try out gel nails which are now becoming a hot favorite as they are natural looking even without nail tips and the best way for nail enhancement. Also, if you are allergic to those strong smelling chemicals which you can experience with acrylic nails, then you should use gel nails as these are odorless.

However, when you are planning on gel nail application, make sure you approach a nail salon or a nail artist who is well versed with gel nails and is properly trained and mastered in gel applications. This will save you from problems that can arise with improper gel nail applications.
