Review - Movie ： The Day The Earth Stood Still

One of the worst Keanu's movie I ever seen. He is the only reason I buy ticket to watch this movie. And he is the only reason this movie is about.

My hubby slept thru the movie, right after he finished his small popcorn. How fast is that? I tried to keep myself awake by telling myself here gotta be more action in it. But no. It is very boring, lotsa dialogue and you really must follow the movie, else you lost it.

The most interesting and "memorable" part is when Keanu speaks Mandarin. Me almost LMAO. Other than that, nothing much about the movie. The action is oh so limited. If you have seen the trailer, that's ALL the action that is in the movie. The rest is just talking and talking and more talking.

Unless you are a hardcore Keanu fan and you will die if you miss any of his movie, I say skip this altogether. Just not worth the time.

Xmas eve

Me n hubby went to Mid Valley to get the X Broadband thingy. I am so very pissed. Knn.

First we went to to "Cube". To enquire about the special promo price. And the young man who man the counter, had a hard time trying to find words to answer me. I was speaking in very simple English. "I would like to find out about the broadband promo". And his face gave me the expression as thou I just asked the most stupid question in the world. After he finished "explaining" about the packages they have (which I can ald memorise, I enquired so many times :P ), I asked, how about the RM399 promo on the MV leaflet? He wanted to re-explain the normal standard package shit. I stopped him. And re-ask my question. He said " I DON'T KNOW". Wow...am very very amazed. Telco X put a boy there in the "Cube" , and he is alone and he tells me he don't know. Of cos the devil wont take NO as an answer. I collected myself and tell him as calm as I can, someone told me about a Jusco voucher or coupon or watever, what is it about. Then he gave me this "OIC" look. He said "You need to go the J card there and ask them. Cos Telco X send them to J Card member. I don't know". Fine. I go there and ask "them" knnbccb...i hate fresh grad esp those who are probably part-timers. Can someone tell kids nowadays to wake up?? What is wrong with kids these days? Or is it that I am so kolot.. something is wrong with me instead? They just can't be serious with their work or anything. Parents nowdays really spoiled them. Talking which, I have 1 of these spoilt brat back at home. Such a shame.

Next to J Card service counter. Oh, by the way, we bought the movie ticket for "The Day The Earth Stood Still" for 9.40pm. The time was about 7.45pm when we reached the J Card counter. There was a loooooooooong Q of about 20 people ahead of me. There was supposed to be 4 counters. Only 2 are opened. Can't they get someone else to man 1 more counter to speed things up?? I feel like killing someone already. Oh, did I mentioned I was very hungry as well? A hungry devil is an angry devil ya. So we sit there and wait la. Wait, wait, wait. I realised most of the people was there to redeem their points before it expires.The statement, I remembered ,was sent sometime ago. Why can't these members go redeem the damn points earlier? I just let mine expired :p

Finally my number was called. I went there, put on a tired and hungry smile and asked the same question again. The girl took out the catalogue for points redemption and start flipping. And she was flipping the pages under the "F & B" section. Can she even read I wonder. Telco X under F&B?? This is something new to me. Before I flipped, I asked for the catalogue and DIM (do-it-myself). Nothing I want. Then seeing my tulan face, she turn around and ask her colleagues for help. She can sense devil is about to break her neck. And I was told "TAK TAU LA"

After all the hassles and time wasted, all I get is "I don't know" "tak tau". Who the hell printed the fucking promo thing on the stupid idiotic brochure??? And the respective departments dunno what the hell is going on. Fuck Telco X and Jusco. Educate your staffs before putting them on front line. Send them to some basic English course please. My 3 yrs old niece speaks better English.

There... a rotten and spoiled Xmas eve.

Goodbye 2008 Hello 2009

A year had passed. In a blink. I barely had time to sit down and think back what have i done in the past year. Some big things happen thou. Let's see.

1. A death in the family. My granny decided to let go and left us in May, in the midst of a family trip to Langkawi. I was awaken with a phone call early morning (in the hotel room) from my dad, just after the 1st night. More on this in future post. I miss her.

2. A new life in family. My beloved cousin Kelvin is gonna be a 2nd time daddy in 2009.

3. My "suppposed to be preggy together" partner in crime.. is having a "Cow" baby. Am so thrilled and excited. I will be a godma in May 2009. Love ya, Jeri.

4. Met up with some ex-Convent girls. I have lost touch with 99% of them since leaving kampung 11 yrs ago. It amazes me how friends remained true and naive as I knew them from years ago. I should be doing this more often.

5. Started my own blog. Have actually been toying with this idea for some time. But kept worrying there will be not enough interesting topic. I have a very boring life with schedules. I don't party, don't get invited to events, I don't like to venture out without my hubby. But he encouraged me. So i gave myself a new title - blogger...wah haha

6. Started an e-shop. Selling some women stuff. From beauty products to accessories...and whatever we will be able to get in future. Say hi to my biz partner, Patricia.

7. Planned my own Big 3 getaway. I want to hide myself and count the cents left of my 20s. Next year.. i will hit the Big 3, and I will be doing something big. Watch this space.

8. Found out the restaurant where we held our KL wedding is closed, making way for Bubba Gump. Sad.

9. The washing machine at hubby's home decided to die. Now i have "valid reason" to come to my ahyi house weekly. So happy. And this will continue...till 2010 i think :D

10. For the 1st time in my life, had a huge pay rise, with monthly commission. Fantastic...now i can spend more.

Overall, the year had been quiet, with some challenges thrown in. With this I refer to the retarded bitches I have to deal with at hubby's home and work. I will cover more on this.

With new year comes new hope. Cheers to 2009!!

my internet access

I am a blogger with NO internet access at home. And i can't be blogging from my work place. Tonight, I hope, I can get my personal access. Hubby gonna get me a broadband access. Yeah yeah..

2. Play with my pet on FB ALL the time
